Wendy Davis: Pro-Obamacare: A vote for Wendy Davis is a vote to expand Obamacare in Texas.

Founding Father of Texas, Sam Houston, is credited with saying, “Govern wisely, and as little as possible.” If only liberals in Washington would have heeded Houston’s warning rather than ramming Obamacare through Congress.
Obamacare is already driving up costs across the country, despite the well-publicized and embarrassing “glitches” preventing people from actually even using the website.
brand-new study demonstrates that insurance on Obamacare health insurance exchanges will cost more than existing insurance. A lot more:
Doubling your premiums? Why not.
UNDER OBAMACARE’S NEW EXCHANGES, HEALTH INSURANCE COSTS ARE SOARING.
A 27-year-old will see 100% higher premiums, a 50-year-old will see costs nearly double, and a family of four will pay thousands of dollars more each year for coverage. The Affordable Care Act? Hardly.
While GOP leadership in Texas has pushed back against Washington’s overreach on health care, Wendy Davis has consistently supported expanding the Federal Government’s role in Texas health care decisions, and she is an outspoken supporter of Obamacare itself.
But it goes deeper than that.
In 2009, as Congress debated Obamacare, Wendy Davis authored an ultimately failed amendment to force a sweeping government takeover of private insurance rates in Texas. In her floor speech, Davis further expressed her opinion that Texas should require “prior approval for all insurance” of any kind offered in the State.
An outlier on the fringe of her party, Davis was also one of just three votes against market-based healthcare reform incentives for small businesses in Texas in 2009.
In 2011, Wendy Davis also voted multiple times against measures that would have helped make insurance more accessible and affordable through market-based solutions, and in 2013, Davis co-authored and voted for a series of amendments in a Democrat-backed legislative package designed toimpose Obamacare and force Texas taxpayers to fund abortion providers. Wendy Davis even co-authored a measure to raid Texas’ vital Rainy Day Fund to expand Medicaid through Obamacare:
Wrong for Texas
WENDY DAVIS’ SIGNATURE ON LEGISLATION CO-AUTHORED BY DEMOCRATS TO RAID THE RAINY DAY FUND AND EXPAND MEDICAID THROUGH OBAMACARE
A vote for Wendy Davis is a vote to ratify Obamacare expansion in Texas. Indeed, a vote for Wendy Davis is a vote to empower an agent for Barack Obama’s entire job-killing agenda in Texas over his final two years in office.
Given her consistent support for expanding Washington’s reach into Texas, Wendy Davis would clearly not govern our state wisely, and she certainly would not continue Texas’ successful model of limited government.
